Up-skilling our community is of great importance to low income and unemployed communities. Samkin Foundation has embarked on training and skills enhancement for the well-being, employability and job creation among-st our community members. Through this, our community is able to embrace knowledge of self rescue as a prelude to fight poverty and finally become self-reliant.
The main goal of the life skills approach is to enhance the people's ability to take responsibility for making healthier choices in life and equip them with the social and interpersonal skills. This include the ability to: Make decisions, solve problems, and think critically and creatively, Clarify and analyze values, Communication skills, listening skills, assertiveness, negotiating skills, Coping with emotions and stress, and self-awareness.
